Pray For Myanmar and Thailand

Dear GSFA Family,
As you will know, on Friday 28 March, an earthquake of magnitude 7.7 rocked Myanmar and neighbouring Thailand. More than 1,600 have died in Myanmar alone with many more injured.

Please pray for our brothers and sisters in their suffering and loss, that God may be their refuge and strength, and that God may strengthen our brothers GSFA Primates Archbishop Stephen Than of Myanmar and the Primate of South East Asia, Archbishop Titus Chung, as they seek to care for those in distress.

We pray for all victims of this earthquake, the bereaved, the injured and those who have lost their livelihoods, that God’s mercy may rest upon these nations, especially Myanmar where so much infrastructure has been destroyed.

In this Lenten season of preparation for Easter, may we be comforted in grief and loss by our resurrection hope in the Risen Christ who makes all things new.

The Most Revd Dr Justin Badi
Primate of South Sudan and Chairman of GSFA
